I just want the remnants of the cold I had for Thanksgiving to go away. *pouts*

I went to the gastroenterologist today and either have an ulcer or a malfunctioning gall bladder! Huzzah! I have an endoscopy on Tuesday to find out why I'm broken.

We're getting too alike, mike. I gotta head to a radiologist tomorrow for an ultrasound to see whether they have to open me up to retrieve nasty cysty things. Gah.

I am so frustrated with my health lately. I know it's related to the damn job that I'm just getting more and more fed up with. My job search starts soon.

Heh, at least I get to miss a day of work for my endoscopy. Sad that I'd rather be sedated and have a long thin tube run through my innards than go in there.

Last weekend I woke in the middle of the night with a toothache. Not a run of the mill "dull ache in a cavity" toothache - no. This toothache was a sharp, intense, relentless spike of pain running up my cheek and into the cheekbone. For a good hour, I was in tears, pure agony. I have never felt pain like this. Ever. I took some Advil. Then I took some more. By the time I was done with the Advil, I had taken about 9 of them (that's about 1800 mg) and it didn't even touch it. The pain was so bad that I was gray, and crying, and sweating, and unable to think.
I ended up sticking an ice cube against the gum, and staying up all night Saturday night and all day Sunday, and dozing whilst jamming ice in my mouth Sunday night and waking again when the pain returned as the gum thawed out. Monday I had the tooth taken out. Gone, vamoosed, yanked. No hope of repair, not without a root canal, a crown, and some gum surgery. Seems that my teeth grinding (thank-you-very-much-antidepressants) had cracked the tooth and exposed the nerve, and the crack ran all the way up the root into the socket. Ick. I mean, ICK.
And so Monday, yesterday and today I have been pain-free but unable to eat what I want because I have an after-care plan I must follow. And so I whimper, but also in gratitude that I am pain-free.

And I am sorry to hear of endoscopies and radiologists and colds and stuff. At least I was able to stop the madness with one trip to the dentist...

I've been suffering from pretty much daily sinus headaches for about four weeks now. I'm always tired, cranky and my life sucks trucks. I finally went to a specialist this week. They examined me and sent me for CT scan since there was nothing obvious visually. I find out on Monday what the next steps are.

I feel okay today, thankfully. I'm hoping it lasts.

I'm pukey today. But it's not illness; it's anxiety.

I've never actually puked from stress before, so I'm trying to treat it as a happy milestone.

*whimper*

Feel better all ye under the weathers!

Almost everybody else in the family had pukey flu. I've just had what my dad always euphemizes as "plumbing trouble" -- roiling gas and diarrhea. At least it's all going out that direction!

I won't gripe about my other ongoing medical troubles. Having no health insurance sucks is all I'll say.
