100 horses stranded on a tiny island ... This is the first thing I watched today, and it's made my day already. Googlevideo
Wow, that's wild. Good for them! :)

Wow, that's great! It was all so organized and calm! They were pretty smart to lure them with other horses; such an interesting illustration of herd mentality.

A modern-day Misty of Chincoteague story.

Do you know, it made me cry? The music was the perfect accompianment, the way they pranced through the water was almost a dance. I can't even explain why I got so emotional about it. This was amazing. Absolutley amazing. Thank you!

The Vangelis is almost too much, but only almost. It's really neat how it matches up, like when the horses (ponies might be more accurate, actually) begin prancing on dry land.

It is the Vangelis that drives your emotions -- it's really annoying how easy it is to do that (at least for a master like Vangelis, why he gets paid the big bucks). As an experiment I tried watching it muted, but playing last.fm (tag soundtracks). The oddly compatible first song up was Gary Jules' "Mad World". Then a weird bit off Kill Bill Vol. 2, and then a Hans Zimmer march from Black Hawk Down, which fit the rest of it perfectly without feeling wrenching.

Anyway I plan to watch this any day I feel down.

YOU ARE NOT THE FATHER || Damei once asked Master Mazu, “What is buddha?” Mazu answered, “Mind is buddha.”
