NYC Used Bookstore request. I'm seriously jonesing for a copy of Perry Deane Young's Two of the Missing. The online prices are all in th $50 range and I don't want it that bad. The well-known places like The Strand know the value of books too well to find a deal. I'm looking for a place that would stock an older midlist title like this and just maybe have it at a reasonable price. Paperback is fine and I'm not picky about condition as long as it's in one piece and readable. Any leads, NYC bibliophiles?
It's a longshot, but you might luck out at Coliseum books on 42nd. Sadly the store is closing, but the death of another independent bookseller means 20% - 50% all inventory.

Don't know where you looked online, but right now you can get it through abebooks.com from someplace in Oregon for $15 plus $5 shipping.

Just think of that little dog-eared paperback book sitting on a shelf in an Oregon used bookstore, totally unaware of all this.
