Tonight's dinner [More:]
Some whole wheat pita bread.

Hummus mixed with leftover red sauce.

Greens with olive oil/soy sauce.

Georgian red wine (Kvanchkara)

I feel so granola-crunchy.

That is all.
Oh our dinner was the polar opposite of yours, j_p. Comfort food (and some leftover thanksgiving ingredients) all the way.

Roast pork with many, many cloves of garlic jammed into the meat
Mashed potatoes with a buttload of cream and grated parmesan
brussels sprouts, shallots, chestnuts and bacon

Tonight's dinner was lackluster. I was alone, and in the middle of emptying out and arranging our little office room, so it was fast and easy:

leftover vegetarian black bean soup, with the last of homemade sesame whole wheat rolls (picked off the single fleck of mold and it was fine) and a hunk of smoked gouda.

I drank water, although I just this moment remembered there's one decent glass of merlot left in the bottle from the weekend.

I had chili. But I found a couple of gross hunks of fat it when I was almost done. That always ruins a meal for me.

Thawed some beef stock and chopped up the remains of lastnight's roast. Threw in a bit of fresh sage, savory, thyme, and salt and pepper. Did a mixed green salad with a vinaigrette (pepper, garlic, white wine vinegar and white truffle olive oil) with some unsalted Canadian goat cheese Feta crumbled over it.

Chicken Marsala and Risotto cooked by the wife, then I bit the heads off some broccoli and polished it off with some pecan pie and cool whip (what the fuck is cool whip if not whipped cream? tastes a little funky) and to drink... Seltzer.

Filet mignon and shrimp. (The mister got a really big raise today. We were celebrating.)

On preview: What? Seltzer? DW, are you pregnant?

Pasta with white clam sauce, slick salad with feta and olives, and garlic parmesan bread. And an Amstel Light for dessert.

Oh my god, I'm pregnant?

I'm going to name the baby Divine_Wino II, after me!

No, I just wanted some seltzer. I like seltzer, it's almost as good as booze, plus it gives you the greps.

Don't worry, I ain't quite drank my fill yet. In fact, I'll have a wee dram just to take the edge off.

I had a bowl of matzo ball soup, with lots of crackers. Mmmmm, Cafe Edison has the best matzo ball soup!

I would name it Divine_Wino II: Diviner Wino because I once had an English prof who insisted that all good titles contain a colon.

Maybe in Greece, carmina. Here, we're not allowed to do anything.
