No mention of a wife or girlfriend. I wonder why.

i knew of a girl, by a degree of separation, who had a single long eyelash. People kept telling her she had a hair in her eye and she'd have to keep correcting them, "No, it's an eyelash."

People always want to get a random single hair out of my face.
i find that rather forward. Get your hands outta my face.
They also seem rather free to comment on blemishes.
What's that about?
