My mom was the same way with blue and white striped dishes for awhile. Walked into a tiny little general store in a Canadian backwater (Perry Sound in the early 80's if that helps anyone) and wham: dozens of pieces with the exact width of stripe she wanted and everything.

DISHES DISHES DISHES! Bowls, plates (big and small), coffee cups, and even a few little ramekins (i think that is what they are-whatever.) All in cobalt blue! And plenty of them!

They are now in my dishwasher getting undusty....

What gets me is I had just decided YESTERDAY I was gonna do this.

I hated thrift store shopping as a kid, mostly because I wanted new stuff but used stuff was what we could afford. I love it now and I keep my eye out for FiestaWare among other things. I can only hope someone is clueless enough to donate it.

I'm another thrift store afficionado. Also flea markets. My hubby is not a big fan, but I find plenty of antique books and neat odds and ends. Great find, bunnyfire!!

I just love going to thrift stores. It's like hunting. I don't always find something, but it's the thrill of the chase more than anything.
