How do I make a Blogspot blog Google-able? I can't even get the title of my blog to pop up. What am I doing wrong?

If it's new it probably just hasn't been indexed yet.

But I think you should do Vox instead of blogger because of the "neighborhood" thingy. (Or, really, because I'm there, and I'm lazy, so I just pretty much check posts from my neighborhood instead of wandering around different blogs, and I've never managed to keep up a blog list.)

You are 5 down (at the time I did this). If you search for just "ted haggard", there have been so many blogs written about him in the last 24 hours, that you are pretty much off the map.

I get hits when I search specifically in blogs, but nothing when I do web searches. As Taz says, probably an indexing thing.

Yea, I'm guessing it's an indexing thing. Soon you'll wish you could get yourself OUT of Google (somehow, Google figured out that my blog was written by me, and it comes up in searches for my real name, even though there's no mention of it on my blog. So weird).
