OMG RUTGERS!!!1
I work in New Brunswick (where Rutgers is located) and tonight's game was all anyone could talk about today. All I cared about was beating the traffic out of town, but I'm happy for m Rutgers alumni friends.

It is huge. The biggest win Rutgers has ever had and they just beat a team that was getting some serious respect themselves and had a shot at the national championship. A team that just finished beating yet another team that some thought could win it all.

It is unlikely that even an undefeated Rutgers can get into the BCS title game over a 1-loss SEC champ or a 1 loss Texas, etc. Which is kinda unfair but just the way the system works.

None the less, they are destined for one of the BCS bowls if they keep winning.

Wow!
Wow!
Wow!

When I was in college Rutgers was an opponent, but now that I live in Rutgersville.... The excitement in town was pretty high today, and now they have beaten the number three team in the country. You have to understand the depths of their awfulness in prior years to appreciate what a stunning victory this was. When my team, think no football scholarships, not ranked since God knows when, used to beat them they were really pathetic. Since they dropped us from the schedule with stars in their eyes, well they pretty much sucked eggs for twenty years. They have really come a long way in just a couple of years. One of the best games I have ever seen.

Yay Rutgers.

Damn! I wish I knew. I would have liked to watch that game. I am a-die-hard Seminole here (from grad school: does the requisite chant that follows the name) and I love love (college) football. I know what it is to beat a high ranked team if only to watch the commentators in major pre-game/half time shows choke. Mmmm! They always, always go with the heavy favorites. Especially in college football.

Double yay for Rutgers.

My brother never tells me anything! (both he and my mother are alums; he still lives down there)

So, uh, what happened?

I keep reading that as Rudiger and getting all Simpsons fanboyish. And then getting disappointed and confused as I've no idea what Rutgers is.

One of the most exciting games I have seen. Ever. My great aunt works at Rutgers so I was really pulling for the little guys. Tremendous. I had goosebumps and even teared up a little bit when the clock hit 0:00. To win at all was impressive, but to hold fucking LOUISVILLE to no points in the second half and come back from 18 down... it's the stuff cheesy sports movies are made of. But it's real life.

Shame they won't get any national championship consideration. They looked like they could hang with any team in the country last night.
