CSI song help Tonight I was watching CSI, and there was a cover of Word Up done during one of the laboratory scenes. It was a slower version and the vocals sounded female. Any idea who did it? Thanks!

Melanie B now known as Melanie G. On the Austin Powers 2 soundtrack. And when soulseek wouldn't give it up, a buddy of mine sent it to me. (I'm almost ashamed for wanting this, but my love of fun covers overcomes the shame.)

Correction: The Austin Powers version is NOT the same one I heard tonight. Searched the CSI site, too. Hmmm... Any suggestions appreciated.

there's a site that rounds up all the lists of songs played in popular TV shows, if you Google a bit you'll find it, I'm sure -- they have CSI and Grey's Anatomy and Boston Legal and many others
