Heh. Actually, those bands are all* really commercial, in the best way. And I've played them for people with very mainstream tastes and they dug them. I'm still not sure what went wrong. And these bands aren't taken very seriously in the alt-rock side of things either, at least not these days.

*You could add the Bottle Rockets and Bellrays to that list, too.
