Chopwell Soviet : A great little radio documentary by Alexei Sayle→[More:]It's about Chopwell, the Tyne & Wear pit village known as 'Little Moscow', which still has streets named after Lenin and Marx.
Alexei writes a column in The Independent in their Motoring Section. Sometimes it's even about cars. "Pretty soon an angry mob bearing flaming torches was pursuing me across the field. You know it's surprising how fast a hippy can run if you've annoyed him by driving over his sitar."
