also, I really hate the word 'booty,' especially when it's referring to the posterior. It sounds like something a child would say. "I faw down, hurt my booooty."
The finest in House music, underground West Coast breaks, thumpin' good free/tekno, tribal, and any of that hyperurban 4/4 on the floor stuff with the way swung bass kicks.
No piano rolls, diva singers or horn riffs in my house, please. Deep house. Acid. The hard stuff.
Anything by Prince, George Clinton, The Jackson Five, or James Brown. Most songs by Chuck Berry or Marvin Gaye. And I get posessed by Jungle Boogie, Groove is in the Heart and Bust a Move (shut up!). Seriously taken over--like the corpse in Weekend at Bernies II.
Awesome! Thanks, carmina! Public Enemy is another one of the bands that I love, but only seem to have on 20-year-old cassette.
