Torchwood [More:]

Pretty good show. Didn't even know that the Capn' was in it until I started watching. So Rose/Vortex/Tardis made him (maybe) immortal. Interesting. Although I fear it will be overused. Seriously bad danger... just let invincible man handle it. We shall see.

Surprised by the cursing, sex, etc. Would never fly over here in Jesusland.
I'm downloading the 3rd episode as I type. It's good - better than I thought it'd be. I'm just so hoping that they won't fall into the Star Trek/Dr Who/whatever trap of the monster-of-the-week thing. I can remember watching Dr Who with Jon Pertwee and there were plots that ran on for 3+ episodes (I think, I may be wrong) which allows for better character building and a more engaging storyline. I'm glad they haven't gone overboard with the sex-and-swearing thing, as just because you can, doesn't mean you have to.

Not that I'm against sex and swearing, but it can really detract from the story when handled badly.

Episode 3 is definitely the best of the three so far. Episode 2 was pretty dire in my mind. Reminded me of a dodgy episode of Lexx or something.

However, the whole touchy-feely "feelings are energy too" plot device drives me a little crazy. I forgave Dr Who the bad science because it's a kid's show but this is supposed to be grown up science fiction.

Ach well, we'll see. Also, despite his improbably long mouth, Owen is a good character.
