I had a tree like that when I was a kid, except larger and slightly less fake looking. I was always surprised by how real it looked, with wooden beads and lights and electric candles and ornaments and my grandmother's antique angel at the top. Very reminiscent of "A Charlie Brown Christmas"!

Fake or real, my cats will climb my tree every year. At least one of them will. Who needs tinsel when you have a semi-long hair cat leaving drapery all over?

We have one of those stands that makes our tree slowly spin. When the cat was little (i.e. not so fat), she would climb up into the tree and ride around and around. We had a party for the worship team at our church, and just as the director got up to give an inspiring speech, the cat was riding the tree. Everyone would laugh hysterically everytime her little face came 'round the front.
