I saw this ... and thought of jonmc.
Sweet merciful crap. How on earth could Chicken Fried Bacon need *more* salt?

That'd be about a 4 hour or so drive from Dallas, I think via looking Snook up on Google Maps. The food itself didn't seem to make it worthwhile, but (hypocrisy warning) my two immediate thoughts we're "Holy crap, you can smoke in there!" and "Holy crap, $9.95 Cartons of smokes?".

needs more salt
.

Yeah, that'll help make it just that extra bit more yummy. That's probably something you'd try once (like deep fried pizzas) and then never have again, unless very drunk or on some kind of cardiac death wish

When I was driving cross-country, I stopped at a diner in the panhandle of Texas. They had chicken fried bacon. I ordered a cheese enchilada.

Ah, Snook. Only a few miles from my alma mater. I remember those steaks fondly.

Feh, that's Aggie country. They're not the brightest of folks.

Oh, sorry brainwidth, didn't see you there.

And for what it's worth, as a native Texan, I am well-acquainted of chicken-fried things, but chicken-fried bacon is new to me.

Sure you didn't. ;)

Anyway, the steaks are good, but not great. They're a bit of a novelty because of the size. The best steak I've had recently was at the Double Nickel in Lubbock.
