One of my favorite singers as a teenager (an teenager with admittedly odd taste) has just released a children's album. I'm not sure whether to be bemused or elated. Well, perhaps it'll help create future cowpunkers and rockabilly chicks, which the world needs.
I saw Jason Ringenberg perform at my local (free) music club last year. The day after, he did a free afternoon show for the local kids as Farmer Jason. Went down a storm, from what I heard.

Great show, top bloke.

Oh, I'm sure he aquitted himself quite well as the man is a consummate pro. I'm just a bit...I dunno.

(a great Scorchers related anecdote from Government Cheese guitarist Tommy Womack's book Cheese Chronicles. Womack used to go to Scorchers shows and watch Warner Hodges to try and cop his licks. He'd stand at the foot of the stage and watch intently. If Hodges turned away, he'd pound him on the boot-toe with his fist. In Womack's own words 'It is to Mr. Hodges eternal credit that he never hauled off and hit me.')
