The elder gods seem to be angry today. →[More:] It seems as if everyone's gone mad. When I got to work today*, the first person to call was some old lady who demanded that I extend her (paid) ad for free. When I told her I couldn't do that, she proceeded to tell me what an awful person I was for this. She also threatened to "tell my supervisor". Ten seconds into her rant, I just took off my headset and waited until she had finished. I then told that I was sorry to hear about her situation but there was nothing I could do to help her. She threatened me some more, I told her to have a nice day (honestly!) and then she hung up.

At quarter to five, a lady entered the office and asked if she could have some business cards made (they also print business cards where I work). The trouble was, she didn't have a design made up, so I spent about forty five minutes with her, discussing her business card design (no, this isn't really a part of my job). All that time, she was talking about how she was worried that the business cards didn't turn out right.

Half an hour later, I was walking my girl home. It was raining, but not too bad. On the way to her place (it was a long walk), we witnessed a car crash and saw two more that had probably happened just a few minutes earlier -- all on the same street. Bleh.

I'm off to have some pasta now. Hope your day's been better than mine.

* I work part-time at a local classifieds paper.
