This thread isn't shouting. It's just coldly grim and grumpy. →[More:] I had trouble with my hot water and furnace this morning, and barely made it to work on time, and haven't had breakfast or caffeine, and today I have to sit at the damn reception desk from 4-5 and answer the goddamn phones, so I just know this day isn't going to get any better. grrr

Aw..JanetLand, I'm sorry your day got off to a rough start. Try being all super perky when you answer the phones. Extra solicitous and sweet. It throws people off--in a good way and often causes them to say nice things to you.

Or talk like a phone sex employee. They like that too.

Hehhehheh. This is an office of the State Legislature -- with all the trouble Congress has been having over emails, I think maybe I better not try the phone sex employee thing.
