Sheesh. I just accidently hit the print button in Explorer, and printed MeCha. The formatting was all squished and narrow so it took FORTY-SIX pages. Such a day I'm having.
There's a button for that? Makes as much sense as having the "delete" key make your browser go back a page.

I hope your day gets better...

It could be worse. . once I accidently hit the print for alt.sex.faq. (this was way back in the newsgroup days.) This was way back when there was just one printer for the whole floor, and there were other jobs lined up, and I could not hang around due to the fact I had to be in a mtg.

I called the system admin and threw myself on her mercy and she cancelled the print job, no questions asked.

I really was afraid I was going to have one of those "George Costanza" moments, explaining this to my boss.

When I was doing PROC and JCL programming on IBM big iron the main printer was a room filling thing in the basement serviced by two print operators.

We couldn't actually go and pick up jobs from this behemoth. Instead the mail room brought us our jobs four times a day. I accidentally and unknowingly printed a 4000 page report; twice. The mail guys had to make a special trip.

Been there, done that, got the copy of the approval for the high speed printer upgrade to prove it. IBM will build anything your organization can afford, and with enough IBM stuff, the worst mistakes become just unscheduled capacity verification exercises. Gotta love the Boys 'n Girls in Blue, and the special goodness that is JCL. ;-)

I love that turn of phrase.
