Computer Hope, Bunnies? My Inspiron 2650 laptop all of a sudden, upon booting, is giving a message of the config.sys file being missing or corrupted. →[More:] It suggests using the program disk for repair. I tried this but it just gave me the c/windows: promt and no other suggestions.

This is an XP machine. Some of the meager help I have found online indicates this is a virus.

So I lean on you once again, bunnies, to help me get this machine up and running again.

It's FIXED!. . took a couple hours but it's up and running. .thank you gecko, again. . now I just have to save files, wipe the drive and reinstall. . .there is a lot of gunk on this hard drive. ..
