Ain't no block party like a Norwood Block Party Opening ceremonies of last month's Norwood Games. [More:] Gratuitous self-link and possibly NSFW, but me3dia said to post it. So.
I went to the link and got the This is a private video. If you have been sent this video, please make sure you accept the sender's friend request message! After your set up at the meet-up last night I really need to see this. When I get home I'll figure out what I need to do, because I have a hunch that this better than anything else on TV tonight.

You crazy, lovable bastard. You've raised the bar for block party opening ceremonies everywhere. All we get at my block party is the guy that yells "It's time!" and motions for somebody to move the saw horses into the middle of the street. He doesn't even wear a toga. And we certainly don't get fireworks.

Some of us have to wonder if we're THAT GUY in the neighborhood. It must be sort of refreshing to actually know that you are, without a doubt, THAT GUY.

That just kicks all sorts of ass.

Is that a ficus on your head?

That is a 9' garland from Joann Fabrics-- half price! The missus also wore one, and we gave a third to the winner of the Norwood Triathlon.

I loved the kids all paused in these "WTS?!?" poses. You and the missus are awesome, Eamon; especially after bourbon slushies and the karaoke extravagnza, I sooooo want to live on your block!

That's hilarious. I love it when the woman says, "Can we walk with him? Come on guys, let's follow him!"

It's like the beginning of a freakin' populist movement or something.

Fris, you'll be glad to know that the mexican grocery store has reopened with a clean bill of health, and their tacos are just as tasty as before.
