Goddamn I've been on this box too long. I got sucked into the tubes at an early age; I didn't realize I'd been internetting for more than half my life.

Why "destroyed", cmonkey?

I'm just grouchy because my Diplomacy game isn't going well, and I think I'll blame the WWW for it this morning.

I kind of agree with cmonkey a little. Part of me is nostalgic for the days when you had to be a serious geek and learn Unix to send e-mail or do FTP or play games. It was completely organic and non-commercial. It was life on the frontier!

But I'd be lying if I said I didn't like the web. I mean...I'd break down under cross-examination.
