if the thunderstorms to the east do not spread this way and give me some relief...→[More:]
Perhaps you could have them come over here and concentrate their energies on destroying the office tower I work in. I wouldn't mind dying if I knew it would hurt my employer. And this fifty-story blemish would be removed from the Queens skyline forever.
God damn my employer. Just this once, pretty please? Amen.
Be careful what you wish for, LOL. I just hauled this out of the basement, leaving this behind on the floor. Days of work and probably 100 trips up and down the steps.
oh, i finally bought Gatorade--does it really work better than water to replenish whatever? (it tastes weird--like sweet and salty all together--i've never had it)
Amberglow, Gatorade is good for replaceing the electrolytes you lose when you sweat. It also provides energy in the form of simple carbs. So for football palyers -- it's good stuff.
But if it's plain ol' hydration you want, water's just as good. Gatorade claims that it rehydrates better than water because "it's easier to drink." That argument falls flat for me.
It's also really high in sodium, so if you have high blood pressure, it's best to steer relatively clear.
We had a teaser of a storm last night. Lightning, a dribble of rain, then nothing. Damn!!! I really want a drenching, long lasting rain. But at least we had a breeze today.
I actually find that a gatorade kinda sticks better when I'm dehydrated, not when I'm thirsty but actually like low on moisture, it's just the same as water with a little salt and sugar a la the red cross rehydration mix, but it does seem to work better for me when I'm actually like achy and woozy from dehydration, like from being sick or working too hard in the heat. Maybe just subjective, I can only palate the orange kind.
i got the red kind, and it tastes like Hawaiian Punch that went bad, sorta. I think it does work, but the change in weather is probably what's worked most.
(i can't believe i reached 41 without even tasting it once at all tho) : >
