Brunettes make me sweat. Who are some of the iconic raven-haired ladies of yore? [More:] Betty Page, Clara Bow (The IT girl; at least I think she was a brunette from the B&W pics I've seen), or who? What I like about this category is that it includes women not of European descent, which is a large proportion of the hottest women who ever lived (whether you think Cleopatra was black, white, or in between, I don't think there's any doubt she was a brunette). So which brunettes are iconic?
Myrna Loy. Louise Brooks. Gong Li.

Joan Jett!

But only because Audrey has already been mentioned, she is the "Form of" that I think of when I think of class and beauty.

No one's used "sultry" to describe brunettes yet, which is awesome because I'd have to hurt you. Anyone who's feeling creative can come up with another adjective to run into the ground with reference to brunettes. (Hair color commercials are particularly bad about this!)

Raven haired is used only to refer to black hair. Brunette is the term for brown hair. I have auburn hair, I don't fit into either category, and I am certainly not a red-head.

Angelina Jolie.

I'm marginally obsessed with Kelly Rowland.

She's cute, but Jill & Lauryn can get together and make a jonmc oreo cookie any old time...

Cute!!! Are you blind.

Although "The Revolution will not be televised" is fantastic, so Jill Scott gets extra points for writing that.

Isabella Rossellini.

Sofia Loren.

Rita Hayworth. Redhead, but often dark enough that in b/w movies she might as well be brunette.

Cynthia Myers, if a couple of movies counts.

Olivia de Havilland.
Vivien Leigh.

Gil Scot Herron wrote that, seanyboy.

And like I said, I only find Kelly Rowland to be 'cute.' An awful lot of black women who become sex symbols these days basically look like pretty white girls with darker skin (not that this is neccessarily bad, see Halle Berry *drool*), but Jill & Lauryn jave very black looks and style and it looks hawt on them.
