Did we ever come up with a theme for Photo Friday this week?
Do you have an idea, ico?

I actually had a cool idea a few days ago... and promptly forgot it. Curses!

When I first saw the post for casual friday, I thought that was the theme, but then I clicked on the F'ing link and it was goatse polo shirts.

Casual Friday isn't such a bad idea. It's casual, but somehow constrained? Post anything you want, as long as there's some khaki in it?

A whole separate wardrobe that isn't for work, isn't for play, is only for Friday?

Maybe somehow this concept can bridge over to photos. I don't know. I don't really have a camera, and the only pictures I keep are of my nephew, but I won't put photos of him on the internet. Suffice to say, they're all awesome because he's the greatest kid ever. I wish you all could meet him. He'd think you were funny (he thinks everybody's funny).

Someone suggested Handwriting on the wiki. Maybe to broaden that, how about "Writing", in general? Could be a writing implement, a graffiti'd wall,a handwritten page, sidewalk-chalk messages, beach writing...

Hell, I dunno. I'm brain-dead.

I think we did written notes and doodles... we can already do it again.

How about "abstractions" ?

Any slightly non-traditional photos could be included, everyone has something that would fit, and it's a good topic with short-notice.

I like abstractions.

I like abstractions too. Should we go with that?

I'd like next week to be Found Alphabet - shapes of letters that you happen upon accidentally. It would be trippy.

I've come across two examples of this that are just fantastic:

Dean Allen's Found Alphabet and this found alphabet on a volkswagen - too cool. I have another flickr set of found letters bookmarked at home but I'm at work right now. I'll post it later, it's killer.

What's everyone think about it? You could do one letter or a whole bunch, or try to spell words, or whatever you like. Totally open. As long as none of them are real letters, as in, don't just shoot a J that you see on a sign. You have to see a J in something...

Can someone post a reminder about the SF meetup || "Speak for yourself, dude.." Best thing(s) out of DesMoines, eva. Possibly NSFW.
