The internet has ruined me. Even before I clicked the link, I knew what it would look like. Nice find.

GOML - it's an unintentional goatse. Knave, you should submit that to BoingBoing, if you don't totally hate them (as seems to be the fashion of late). They love that stuff.

The logo resembles the infamous 'goatse', which is a photograph of a man using both hands to stretch his anus about 4" wide. Trust me on this, you do not want to see it.

It's become a kind of internet legend, and it's sort of fun to point out things that resemble goatse, whether deliberate or accidental. So any circular object with hands on either side is fair game.

In addition, people who know about goatse try to sneak the imagery into mainstream media to give those in the know a laugh.

Ok, When I first saw the logo, with no former knowledge of goatse, other than having "heard" it mentioned on Mefi, I thought the hammer part of the gavel looked liked knuckles. Ok, so I wasn't too far off. Wikipedia was helpful, but I'll pass on seeing the actual picture though.

Actually, I have seen that before. If you go to the "Unfortunate appearances" of the goatse tribute site (nsfw duh) you'll see a bunch of logos like that.

And yes, I've been through every link on that page. Isn't the internets great?

*thinks puke & cry is interesting, very possibly disturbed and deranged, but still very interesting*

I'm with you P&C, there's no way to rationalize this, but I think goatse is one of the greatest things the internet has ever produced.

While you're at it, check out the Tour de France website. Three-way goatse!
