It's a boy. My upcoming grandchild is due the first week of January, the ultrasound pic is already on my fridge, and the second round of ultrasound has revealed that the bunny-to-be is a boy.

My daughter and her intended plan to tie the knot quietly sometime this week or so,so the only fly in my ointment is my folks.

If there is an antiracism pill out there, please send, along with a dart gun to apply it.

At least they haven't disowned ME. And as far as their will goes, her brother and sister will share if it comes to that.

I go now to liberate blueberries from the bushes of the racists, now. Giving some to the pregnant bunny, of course. Ha!

Congradges on the grandson! Hooray for babies.

As far as the racists are concerned, if they don't love their grandson upon hearing him gurgle for the first time, then they're damaged enough that you should disown them.

Oops, I mean great-grandson. Doh!

Yeah, I'm counting on the presence of a real live baby to correct a few things. Friends with real life experience in these matters tell me this can and does happen.

The irony is my mom's dad got disowned for marrying her mom (Greek/nongreek) and then when mom got married (carrying me at the time)her folks tore up all her clothes and tossed them out the front door. Her mother in law had to buy her some clothes.

Life is funny.

(oh, mom's real dad died when she was a baby and did not participate in the wardrobe destruction.)

Congratulations. A friend of mine was very upset at the idea of becoming grandma to a mixed race baby, until he was born and she held him. Now he's Gramma's Li'l Guy.

Congratulations all around, bunnyfire! Can you see his little weenis in the ultrasound photo? I still have the ultrasound that they took of my son. The doctor digitally circled his weenis in the photo so that everyone would know where it was, which I found hilarious. It looked exactly like a button.

(weenis = wee penis)

Congratulations, bunnyfire!

Also, way to embarrass your son before he was even born, iconomy.

There was an arrow pointing to the significant appendage. I guess they didn't want us confusing it with a nose or something.

Although I am not happy that my daughter will be entering parenthood this early, and in this fashion, I figger a baby is always a blessing. Besides, I honestly think she will be a good mama. I like it that both she and her intended are stepping up to the plate and taking responsibility for this life.

Besides, I get to enjoy and spoil the little feller then hand him back. Heh.

Congratulations to you and the proud parents to be! Silly racial biases aside, I've noticed that most mixed race babies are the most gorgeous people! Think Hallie Berry or Derek Jeter!
