Orange Swan's current nest My apartment is up for sale, and my realtor took a bunch of photos of it for use in the MLS listing. [More:]They're pretty self-explanatory. (Not pictured: the guest room, laundry room, and the two bathrooms.)

I'd like to see photos of where you all live. It's like house porn;-)
Here's mine. Shitty camera-phone pics. Anyway, I won't be there too much longer though.

I love house porn. Nice places, you two. I'll take some right now.

I'm sitting in the office right now:-)

When I moved into my place five years ago I had my bedroom furniture and VERY minimal kitchen supplies (i.e., no drinking glasses, only a couple of mugs). I had just one chair, one I had picked up off a curb, and I would invite my guests to "have the seat".

My apartment was pretty run down. I painted the whole place, installed new baseboards and crown moulding, changed all the light fixtures, made all new drapes and duvet covers and bed skirts, bought a new washer and dryer and did a bunch of other minor things like changing the ugly black plastic handles on the kitchen cupboard to brass ones.

The furniture was slowly collected. Those two upholstered chairs and the hassock you see in the living room were bought at thrift shops and I reupholstered them. The filing cabinet in the office I bought at a thrift store and spray painted (and then had to scrape and scour my entire kitchen floor;-)). The "curb chair" is the little rocker by the office window. My mother reupholstered that one.

Taken with ancient digital camera a couple of years ago. Terrible quality, must take some better ones. Must tidy house first.

Oh, and my dad made the bookshelves in the living room (there are three and you can only see the big one), the cedar chest by the couch, the hourglasses that sit on the chest, and the table the TV sits on. It's actually a games table. It has a checkerboard on the top which lifts out and flips over to reveal a croquinole board on the other side. My father does such lovely work. Pretty amazing considering he has severe rheumatoid arthritis.

Oh man my house is a mess. I might have to clean it before I take photos.

here is my humble abode from the street, and here is out my bathroom door. . .the only two I have in flickr at the moment, I think.

Your bathroom has an exterior door, danf? I don't think I've ever seen that before.

My roommate's last place had a door from the bathroom to the balcony.
The ONLY door to the balcony.

We couldn't figure it out, either.

I've seen exterior doors in the bath on houses in Florida before, though. It seems useful if you have a pool. Go in, shower, no dripping chlorine everywhere.

Rest assured, I will post pictures a plenty of our new place once we're, well, living there. Enough to nausiate everyone. I plan to go over to take a lot of them the day we get the keys (if only for damage records, for the security deposit). That, and I have to so I can send them to my mom.

Our current place could be recorded on film entirely in about four shots. It's that small. And it's a mess. So no pictures here.

Taken with a cheap digicam a couple of years ago: my house in the Winter, a view from my window and a strange view of the kitchen floor. The rest of the pictures (there were hundreds of them) were of my cat.
