Great pet naming site. Vote on what type of animal a pet name fits. Search by animal type. Search by meanings, letter combinations, or national origins.
Apparently, my cat should be a dog.

My name is a very popular dog name. So is my husband's. It causes much confusion.

I read this post as "Great pet maiming site" and I went "Oh great, there goes my dotcom business idea." Hopefully, I'll be able to survive off of AskMe posts. It's like my own little HopeMe/MetaFavor/KarmaFilter sideline!

"Boing" and "Potato" are both safe! Zero listings each!

Damn. Kaylee comes up dog. You win, deborah, this time.

Lance, also dog.

One of my former cats, Cheyenne, also dog. And Scheherezade doesn't even show up. Because, seriously, who names their pet Scheherezade? Oh, that's right, I do.

Holy hell. I'm surprised my lil' girl's name popped up on there. I thought it was just esoteric enough.

My dog's name never comes up. It's a Russian name, but a common one. My cat, Slade, came up as a dog, and his name apparently means "dweller of the valley." "dweller of the food bowl" more like. Or "dweller of the sewers before we adopted your F.A. Tass." I kid because I love - he's actually named after a football player - a linebacker of course.

Rupert is a bear's name. :)
My Mom's cat's name is Tog, after Pippin and Tog. (Pippin's the boy.)

That should've been Tog, from Pippin and Tog, aka. The Pogles.

Yay! I win! In your face, mike! *does touchdown dance*

And, apparently, Abigail and Oliver should be dogs as well. Here, kitty kitty kitty...
