Sad. I was always comforted by the idea that Syd had weathered the storms of his various personal psychoses and was somewhere out in the world, fully-functional, and quietly living his life.

This makes me so very sad. I've long harboured a wish that PF would tour together one last time, especially after seeing them have such a good time last year. Part of my wish included bringing Syd out for a song or two.

though the man may've well died 35 years ago, like HST i can't help but feel an overwhelming tinge of sadness regarding his passing. syd's music made me realize that i'm *not* insane, just depressed. the difference is up to you and i to figure out, but dammit if the fellow didn't make some beautiful music along the way.

i'd say RIP, but Roger was doing just that for at least a few decades.

there's no doubt in my mind that there will be no 'lost recordings' comp released. i hope i'm proven wrong, though.

I actually prefer Pink Floyd with David Gilmour at the front, but there is no doubting the genius of Syd or that he was the catalyst at the beginning.
