We did that to our our Samoyed (because it was SoCal in the summer and crazy hot) -- while the fur grew back, it was never the silky fur it used to be.

deborah: it was a combination of the heat and the giant drifts of shed dog hair all over the house. Well, that and "Gee, I wonder what Theo would look like without all that hair?" Some questions, clearly, should remain hypothetical. Poor Theo - he's starting to notice that everyone who comes in the door collapses into helpless laughter, and he's got this look on his face now, when I say "Hey Freako! Mommy's hideous mutant!" that just says: "You're not laughing with me, are you?" Poor baby. I hope it grows back soon.

I took both of my dogs to get them clipped today too. Supposed to pick 'em up in about 3 hours.

He looks ridiculous, but I think it was a fine idea in terms of shedding control.

What I can't figure out, though, is why my cats are hiding from me....
