if you're staying in, like me, all the best Twilight Zones are on SciFi now--i just watched "To Serve Man" and now it's that one where everyone's pigfaced except for that one woman.
"IT'S A COOKBOOK!!!"

flails around wildly

The pigfaced one is called "Eye of the Beholder."
It is my very favorite episode ever.

Now I really wish I had cable!

I'm on it - thanks Amberglow!

Hi Amberglow!

How are you doing, Amberglow?

I think there should be a Twilight Zone episode called Amberglow!

i'm cranky, LT--too hot and muggy out, and working too much (and too many bad dreams)...summer's not my best time.

I've been watching them sporadically. I like Miniature - the dollhouse at the museum.

this one on now i've never seen--Burgess Meredith as the last person?

(he's in so many of them, no?)

oh, at 12:30 est, the weird silent Wizard of Oz is on TCM--it's wizard of oz day there--the Wiz is on now.

I would like to take this moment to urge all of you to read the books of Richard Matheson, one of the more memorable Twilight Zone writers. I Am Legend is particularly awesome, even though it was made into a movie that butchered the plot and featured Charlton Heston.

i'll look for them, cmonkey--thanks!!!

i love the one on now--about the old folks who play kid's games : >

i'm almost done with this: Well of Lost Plots/Fforde (excellent--better than the others even, i think)
posted by amberglow 03 July | 23:01
oh, a 1910 version of the Wizard of Oz comes on after the 1925 one (but it's not as weird as that one)

A friend of my dad's wrote the one about the dolls who didn't know they were.

the dolls in the garbage can? i love that one (that one and the mannikin one in the dept store--so mind-bending) : >

For anyone who hasn't seen it... Planet Of The Apes: "reimagined" as a twilight zone episode.
