I added a questions section. Included in this section is an explanation of how to use the ghost command, for when you get disconnected. I also created a commands page. If you hadn't noticed, I've taken great pains to make sure everything is linkable; so you can paste links to the help for a particular command or [FA]Q on IRC, in an e-mail, or on MetaChat for a confused user.

Those of you familiar with IRC, please take a look at the page and drop a few useful commands in, so I don't have to build the page myself. Also, if you know of something that should be on the list of questions, add it. Those of you with questions can post them to the talk page of either and someone will try to answer them + add them to the FAQ so other users don't have to wonder as well.

Hope you don't mind me bumping something that's relatively recent on the front page, but given the number of IRC troubles lately, I thought this warranted its own FPP. Paid for by the committte to keep IRC fun and easy rather than stressful and annoying. IRC is your friend! (or, in some cases, all of your friends)

So I tried to set up ChatZilla as suggested, and it didn't quite work. The options don't look the same in the Chatzilla window as in the list of instructions.

So, to be more specific for other dummies like me, I figured out the problem. First, you need to open ChatZilla not by clicking on the MeCha link, but by opening it in your Firefox window under 'tools'.

In the Chatzilla window, you have to choose "Tools" then "Options" to open the window labeled "Chatzilla Preferences".

Then on the left sidebar, there is a list of networks. Click irc.slashnet.org.

In the right window, click the lists tab.The top box is labeled "auto-perform". That's where you enter the message you want to send on startup (as specified in the wiki).

If you can figure out how to add that to the FAQ, Miko, that would be awesome. I'd do it, but I don't have a copy of Chatzilla to check that I haven't made a mistake.
