heh. I live for 7pm, when the sun begins to set and the clouds open up.

can't imagine what downtown PHX is like mid-afternoon loq. how do you even move?

You're lucky, loq. It's in the high 90s here, and humid, and it doesn't get anywhere near that cool at night.

Of course, you want to be indoors when all the molecules stop moving.

That's pretty chilly at night. Better bring a sweater if you're going out tonight.

That's not Hell freezing over, only Phoenix. (Although I can understand the confusion. My mother died about two months after my parents moved to Phoenix to retire, so it's not MY happiest place on earth.)

Still, -30,000 degrees F... If you average that with all the other local temps, the White House can get an arguement against Global Warming. (The NOAA knows who's paying its bills...)

The temperature does drop in the desert at night.

That's pretty funny.

Once in Austin, I was watching TV and one of those severe weather alert things scrolled across the bottom of the screen. [And by the way, it was a sunny day.] It said, "There has been a flash flood warning issued for Travis County until 8 p.m. RUN FOR THE HILLS, PEOPLE, WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE!!!!!"

Turns out they were just testing a new scroll-thingy and didn't mean for it to go live. Found that out 5 minutes later during the next crawl.
