If you can accept a SMS text message you don't need an invite. This has been the case for about a year if not more.

But my email in my profile is fake, so I'm hoping you sent it to my real address (er, you may not know that one, no reason you would, and I don't see your email see it in either of the "known addresses" Jessamyn uses, or either real address, or the fallback address); if not, I'll email /your/ profile address tomorrow.

Rhomboid, yeah, I can get SMS and I know sending one will give me an invite. But, I maintain a (probably way excessive) communications paranoia, so I won't use that. Silly of me, really.

god, we ALL have a bunch. what can I use these for? I'm thinking about just setting up 100 sockpuppet accounts in Gmail and starting forum flame wars or something.

I LOVE the way the mail archives, that nothing every automatically deletes- that it just sits there. Mail forwarding- I have 3 accounts coming to the same box. Plus, it makes you COOL and superior to schlubs still using hotmail or AOL or yahoo or whatever.

And, people, believe it or not, there are still people who want them who don't have them. Just a few months ago at church, I was giving my e-mail to someone and he said, Gmail! Wow! How did you get that? I sent him a trillion invites and now he loves me forever. Yaaaaay.

Huh. Shane sent me an invite a while back and I just ignored it. I hate changing my contact info and having more than a couple email accounts. Maybe I'm stuck in my ways: I've had that hotmail account for... jeez, like ten years.

another benefit of gmail is that it is useful for chatting via a web browser. kinda like meebo.

I have billions of the damn gmail addys and can't seem to give them away.
