That's sad, but my first thought was that Adrian "Eddie Hitler" Edmondson had died, especially when I saw this was a BBC link.

Eddie was remarkably well-behaved for a Jack Russell. Cute pup! And 16 is a good old age.

When I was a kid I read the Marvel Werewolf By Night comics and the werewolf's human name was "Jack Russell." I didn't get the joke.

BTW, Kellsey Grammer's autobiography is one of the most powerful books I've ever read. It changed my life. I am now completely unable to watch Frasier, because he is such a dick.

Case in point. After the well publicized arrests and failure to show for trial, he makes no mention of this in his autobiography.

Neither does he mention that all his girlfriends are strippers or porn actors, although that's fairly obvious from the context.
