Ask MeCha: What alternatives are there to PowersuckassnontransferablePoint for making a slide show with sound?
There's OpenOffice Impress. You can save presentations in its own format, in PowersuckassnontransferablePoint format, or in XML (I think).

Funny you should mention - I was just poking around on Impress, but couldn't find the sound part of it. Otherwise it looks like a good possibility, if somewhat on the geeky side.

For some reason I have a mental block against Flash, but that was mentioned awhile back also.

Any others, cough 'em up!

You can use Opera, too. With voice-control, in fact.

Actually in version 2.0 you can import pretty much any movie or sound file into an Impress presentation.

Flash 8 professional has a slideshow mode which turns into a sort of more versatile PPoint, with much better support for video.

The answer to your question is: two carousel projectors with a dissolve unit and a CD player that does MP3s.

or Puppets and a kazoo.

Digital resolution sucks.
