I'm bad at the Internet. So, I'm trying to find that thread where somebody was asking about calling people baby, but I'm apparently no good with the search button. Can anybody hope me?

We were having a conversation about calling coworkers baby, etc.

It started because one of the female employees called me sugar, I laughed and replied "no problem snickerdoodle."

I recently told the man I was seeing I didn't want to see him anymore because it made my skin crawl when he would call me baby, honey, darling, etc.... aside from the fact he was calling 2 or 3 times a day, with an email in the middle for good measure. I am interested in a man, not a puppy. But, I despise being called pet names. I "H-word" it with every fiber of my being.

I always said people only call other people pet names because they can't (be bothered to) remember your name.

Additionally, people who are players never have to worry about calling out the wrong name if s/he never uses your given name and only ever calls EVERY ONE baby, sweety, honey, etc.

Sorry, I'm crabby this afternoon, the ravioli made me tired.
