Taz Made MeCha Even Better for Me Thank you, Taz, I'd never noticed that I could turn on the inline images and now MeCha is soooo much more fabuloso than before (and it was pretty darned awesome before!).

You have turbocharged my enjoyment of MetaChat!
:) It's not every single day that someone thanks me for turbocharging their enjoyment.

Mostly just weekends and holidays.

Yeah, no kidding! I'm all excited now - I had no idea you could do that...haha, consider me turbocharged as well. Thanks Taz!

It doesn't work for chewatadistance's pictures (for some reason).

Yeah, chew's are regular html links (as in a href = http...) as opposed to the img src code that we use to post inline images.

For some very frustrating reason, I've never been able to edit a post that has an inline image in it...I always get a error message and a hand slap. I hate that! It stings.

Chewie's are text links that she formatted in the same way as inline photos here are automatically formatted when you have images "off".

In other words, seeing all the photos appearing as "≡ click to see image ≡", she made her text link the same way. That's what tipped me that maybe she didn't know about images on/off, and why I mentioned it in the thread, which then turbocharged fenriq's enjoyment and excited sasshat.

really, ico? Huh. I'm going to have to test that... I wonder why?

I wonder if the other admins have the same problem? I never thought to ask...heh.

If you're posting flickr links in the "Image" popup, you have to remove the ?v=0 from the end. The end of the tag should be .jpg.

Yep, I just tried it... and now I remember seeing that nasty, rotten "illegal tag" page. It seems like I figured this out once in the past... but I can't remember what I did.

Try adding the trailing slash back: <img src='foo.jpg' />

I didn't know about images on/off. I love it! Thanks!

I was joking, yo. Poking a little fun at chewie, even, for being so meticulous in her linkage.

I have had the same problem, iconomy - I just figured it was my fault, so never mentioned it. That trailing slash would probably fix it, though - I seem to remember that the error is to do with invalid tags, which makes sense.
