Where does your Senator stand on Net Neutrality? I called mine to encourage them to support it!
A little more info on the issue.

One of mine (Obama) supports it, the other (Durbin) has no position - I hope he will do the right thing. : )

Call 'em up! Let 'em know! It was so easy. Here's how all my calls went:

Phone Person: Hello, thanks for calling Senator BlahBlah.
Me: Hi, I'm just calling to encourage the senator to support net neutrality.
Phone Person: Thanks for calling on this important issue. Can I get your zip code?
Me: Sure, it's 12345.
Phone Person: Thank you!
Me: Thank you!

Except for Hillary Clinton, who wanted my full address. Maybe she'll come to my housewarming party!!!!

(I realize it sounds like I called more than 2 senators, and I did- I called senators in FL, using my family home zip, and NY, where I abide.)

The Corruptibles!

TPM says that my two Senators are undecided, but they tend to follow the elephant pack.

Is there a good reason to oppose this other than on purely ideological grounds ? It seems like the only possible reason to vote against this measure is because you believe that private enterprise is always the best steward for commonly-shared assets.

Of course the response to the above is "the real reason they oppose it is because they are controlled by their corporate masters." That may or may not be the case but I'm still interested in hearing how they justify it in public.

Both of my senators are neutral on the net neutrality situation.

(I was hoping someone would explain that to me, mullacc)

Boxer supports it (yay!) but Feinstein is on the fence. Time for a phone call...

Of course, my extra scummy Republican Rep. was against it, but that isn't really a surprise. Bah.
