So Long Suckas! I'm leaving work early today to go camping. How about you? →[More:]My general destination is somewhere near the Painted Hills, in eastern Oregon. I hope it's not raining there.

I'm here, plugging away, trying to get as much as this project off my desk by the end of the day, so the weekend team can pick it up. It's not really urgent, though, so if I don't get it all done, that's fine.

Tonight- greek food for dinner! And I'm going to the BEACH on Sunday! I'm so excited, I've been craving the ocean- I'm part mermaid, I swear.

I got an extension on my deadline (it's no longer due today), so I'm headed to Monterey for the weekend. On the plus side, this means I get to go to Monterey, which is my very favoritest place. Downside: I can't make the SF picnic tomorrow. :(

I demand a rain check!

Sounds lovely, pi. I'm volunteering for the Terminal City Rollergirls exhibition bout on Sunday (they're closing down a street for a neighbourhood festival of which this is a part). Nothing tomorrow, but on Monday a friend will be taking me for a spin on his Valkyrie--we're going to Pemberton (2-3 hrs on a coastal/mountain highway) for beer at a total dive. Woo!

I'll continue my volunteering for the women's film festival. Plus, I have a blog-friend's barbeque to go to tomorrow, then I have to take the GO train home and rush off to my shift at the festival. After that, my roommate's having a get together at our house. I'm suddenly so busy! But I like it.

pi, I have camped here at number 7 or 8, near Kimberly on the John Day River.

Very pretty. . sorta windswept and out of the way. The river is slow and shallow there and feels good.

A small store at Kimberly. . .in fact the store IS Kimberly.

I hope you go down to Prineville and enter through Picture Gorge. . .one of the most neglected beauty spots anywhere. . .

Camping and the Beach both sound great.

I'm playing a show in about 7.5 hours, then tomorrow I've got to clean the apartment, do laundry, and start a freelance project I took on 'cause I don't know how to say no.

I'm not looking forward to tomorrow's activities at all.
