Nice musical reference, altolinguistic.

:) how about ....

paradiddle.

paradiddle.

and the obvious rhyme.

(I didn't know what a paradiddle was - thanks reflecked for sending me off to google!)

ursprache is a totally stupid word for an English spelling bee and a totally stupid word in general. Ur + sprache... looks like some German came up with it. ur- gets thrown around almost as much as uber- nowadays. Anybody been to Ur? It's in Iraq.

i'll use it though, dammit.

Paradiddle! Word of the day. I could even try it out thanks to wikipedia. Fine word. Reverse Single Paradiddle.

I plan to defy anyone who tries to make me work today.

*looks around* What? Nick Cave did it. Linoleum's a fine word!

linoleum -- that's in my "Roach" poem from last week (across cracked linoleum). A fine word, indeed.

How about walleyed? Or, yoke?

We watched the spelling bee last night on TiVo- but since it went past 10, we missed seeing the girl win! Kinda sucky. Still fun though!

I've used walleyed before since I write about fishing far too often, but I'll work in yoke.

strangely uxorious,
never injurious,
the barrister now barred
was tempted from afar
paradiddled the para-legal
now mordantly single.
