I'd like a fully stocked tour bus that ran on evil and moxie, but so what and poopity poop, and not even really or very much, Ms. Please and Thank You, well, la de dah--
Oh, flickr! Do not even get me started on Flickr. Hey, how about picking a new flickr name for me? I can't use iconomy, even though I registered it (those morans...) so I need a new one.
Yahoo auto-assigned me a name...."The Iconomizer", which I find completely hilarious. You wouldn't mess with anyone called The Iconomizer, right? Should that be my flickr name? Or something else?
Just drop a vowel from the name, or something, it worked for the site:
iconomy
icnomy
iconmy
icnmy
icnm
cnm

Subtraction is so negative. How about adding something...
Hehe. I love this name. Thanks, safetyfork! But this is what scares me...see where it says that my email is iconomyatgmail.com? All I did was log in at Yahoo, with my Yahoo username which is 'the iconomizer', and a password, and then flickr asked me what I would like my flickr username to be, so I picked 'iconomy vs flickr'. Never was I asked for an email address. BUT THEY KNOW!
I think the same thing is going to happen when I log out...I won't be able to log back in again. So should I just never log out?
Never was I asked for an email address. BUT THEY KNOW!
As if they care about little old YOU. What books you check out of the library, what sites you visit, who your friends are. . .The Flickr/Yahoo people are sitting around, as I type, discussing you.
I stayed logged in at home, because I was afeared. As soon as I got to work today, I decided to try to log in to see what would happen. I picked the "log in via yahoo" option, and logged in with 'the iconomizer' and a password, and I immediately got linked to my 'iconomy vs flickr' flickr account...I didn't even ever have to pick the 'merge your yahoo and flickr accounts' option! So either they've changed the way the login works, or I am so important that they merged my accounts personally for me. I prefer to think it's the latter.
So I am officially 'iconomy vs flickr', which is so much better than plain old iconomy anyway. All's well that ends well.
