If Metachatters were animals, what would they be? →[More:]I often read MeCha and turn people into animals.

Lipstick Thespian is definitely a labrador retriever puppy, all paws and wagging tail, knocking things off side table and full of enthusiasm.

mudpuppie I often think is a cat. Not a fluffy house cat, but something regal like a siamese or abyssinian or something.

Frisbee girl is some kind of bird, I think a hummingbird, but I haven't quite figured that out.

mygothlaundry is always a lion. I think it's the hair :)

Anyone else?

I'm a monkey. Pips is a monkey too. Our cage is a mess.

The wino is a hibernating bear. Janus is a very mello hyena. Joe Famous is a toucan. Lola G is a lioness. Gaspode is a wallaby.

I am pretty sure I'm a bear. I would like to be a cheetah, or a lemur, but...I think I'm a bear. Maybe a bull (I am a Taurus after all).

Me. Taz is a cheeta, all big green eyes and sinewy grace. LT is totally a lab puppy. deborah is a koala. TPS is her dog. agropyron is a llama. Zach_Replica is a skink.

I was thinking of the anthropomorphized version of bears...you know, all friendly, but lumbering and able to knock the block off someone if needed (although my block-knocking skills aren't that great relly).

Matildaben is a Pug. Mudpuppie, despite the name, is definitely a cat, but a cat who can be friends with dogs.

Wendell is a parrot.

TPS is a peacock.

JonMC and Divine Wino are those two dogs from the cartoon shows, the small, yippy one and the big, tough one who pal around together and look out for each other.

Hugh Janus is a giraffe. He is gentle and elegant and lumbering.

mudpuppie is indeed a cat. a grey short haired one I think.

People usually seem to think of me as either an owl or a bear, but I don't think I have enough of a presence here for folks to think of me as any particular species.

I think of myself more as a cat (odd how many of us see ourselves as cats) - shy, spooks easily, but friendly/loving with the people she knows.

I'm trying but not really doing well at seeing other people as animals. I think it might be that I might first need to see a person in action. A few lame attempts:

matildaben: a mother hen - chatty, keeps her brood close and safe
mudpuppie: an otter - friendly but shy, fun loving
LT: definitely a big outgoing puppy
cmonkey: a lemur - quiet, always watchful
taz: I can see her as that meerkat - a guard meerkat, making sure her tribe is safe from all harm
Hugh Janus: an owl - very wise
quonsar: a chimpanzee - friendly, outgoing, dangerous if crossed

taz, that pic looks just like dodgy, but he's actually more lion than kitty.

I've been told I'm otter-like by several different people. agility, playfulness, endurance, playfulness, opportunistic hunter, playfulness, langourous, playful.

I often (well.. sometimes) fantasize about being a bat.

Frisbee is a hyperactive honeybee.

I see taz as a beautiful tigress who carries her cubs around by the nape of the neck.

Eideteker is a garter snake (and I don't mean that in a bad way).

I second Hugh Janus as an owl.

My vote for Muppet goes to Eamondaly.

Goatdog is the biggest koala of them all.

I can totally see agropyron as a llama.

Wimpdork is a widdle kitten -- the kind that doesn't scratch on the furniture, but will sit on your shoulder.
