I got Season 3 of Samurai Jack yesterday and I think it is probably the best season. →[More:]
It has my favorite episode on it and a two-parter that won an Emmy. The music is especially awesomesocks.
Which one won an emmy? Which one's your favorite? My favorite episode is the one with the huge kilted Scottish guy....damn I love that one. There was another one where the 'bad guy' (I can never remember names) was reading a story to a bunch of kids, and the way the story came to life was amazing. I'm really intrigued by the artwork on Samurai.
I like Venture Brothers, American Dad, and Samurai Jack. Lots.
There are actually two episodes with the Scottish guy. One on the bridge and one where they rescue his wife.
The two part episode explaining the origin of Aku is the one that won an emmy. My favorite episode is when Jack finds a secret monastery with these badass monks in it.
That "I Jump Good" ep was sweet, as was the Spartans one, but season three is really the most mature form of the show I think.
Aku! That's it. I love that one. That story-reading episode was the first time I ever saw SJ and I was channel surfing and I came across it - it was love at first site. I remember I kept asking my son what the show was called so I could watch it again.
Oh yeah there are two with the Scot - both were great.
Wrong-O. There was another encounterwith the Mad Scotsman, in Season 4. Jack fell under enchantment and lost his memory, and the Scotsman did what he felt was necessary to straighten things out. Rather than lasping into a half-hour clip show, the ep was a two-parter with a lot of amusing moments.
