I CAN'T WAIT!!! I am off to Minneapolis tomorrow. Home. →[More:]I guess I can't really call it that anymore but I am excited. It will be the first time I see my favorite city with my New York eyes.

I turn 31 in a few weeks and I am most excited to get a hug from my mother.

Isn't that crazy?

Mom hugs rock.

Must warn you: going home after getting your "New York eyes" is an interesting experience. (I was going to say eye-opening, but I think I'm done having my eyes fucked.)

One of the first things I thought to myself when I first went back to Cali after my first niece was born was, "The drivers here are fucking insane!"

After my first winter in New York, when I went to Cali for Christmas, I thought, "It's way too warm here."

Remember when we returned from Florida to my folks' house? After having not seen them for two years. First, they weren't home, then they acted vaguely peeved that I hadn't told them when we were coming, even though I had.

Jeez, I think I want to hug Lola's mom, now.

I just went for a smoke outside and across the street there's a picket line a-marchin' and a-chantin'. I don't know what they're protesting, but I feel like joining in anyway. It's that kind of a day.
