Are the Outlaws affiliated with the Bandidos or Angels?

I'm so out of touch with biker gangs these days.

Well, it looks like the Outlaws are poised to expand into Bandido territory and will probably have increased friction with the Angels.

I rave a recurring vision where the Angels get hired as security at Burning Man and someone cranks up "Under My Thumb," and nature takes it's course. A man can dream can't he?

"Outside the church, Bandidos bikie Arthur Loveday described Mr Monk as a man "with a touch of royalty".

He said his death had shattered gang members and he appealed for an end to violence.

"He was a sensitive new-age biker with a touch of royalty," he said.

"I was his protege."

Bwahaha.

Now if only the cops would get serious about eliminating Angels. Ain't gonna happen, 'natch.

The bike gangs are just soldiers in the overall layout of transnational crime networks. No way are they much more than middle-management -- compared to the big wheels. See William Chambliss' work for an explanation of how big legitimate business is at the top of most crime networks.

There is a strong possiblity that one of the Angels' and Bandidos' money-launderers rolled over on them and triggered this whole ephisode. He had been banned from the US and cut a deal with the feds shortly before the action started last year. It will be interesting to sell what the fallout is going to be.
