Vrooom When I went to the bowling alley yesterday, there were a lot of cops next door at the Harley dealership. They've busted the Banditos again.
Some things don't change, even when exported.

Ha, nice to see we have exported a bunch of criminals for a change instead of importing them.

God, they've come a long way since they just stole Fritoes.

Actually, the Bandidos started in Texas, and started up chapters in Australia, dg. The Hell's Angels started in California, the Pagans in Long Island, and the Outlaws in Chicago.

Bikers were invented in America, dude.

Hey, Dan Quale! There's no "e" in Fritos. Har, har, har.

We're all agog here waiting for the other shoe to drop. Maybe you noticed that weird mention of "no involvement" by Canuks. WTF is up with that, you wonder.

Well, Dude, it's like this. Two years ago (ahem, did you see that's when the investigation started?) I got in a fair amount of hot water because I racked a city development official over the coals for the city being in bed with drug money launderers. This led to a big manhunt as the sucker tried to identify me as the source of a non-defamatory dossier that was circulating showing the biggest hog at the city's tax break trough was involved in a multi-million dollar drug ring in Canada. Or rather, he never was charged or anything, but surrendered millions of dollars as part of a bargin with Crown Prosecutors.

It wasn't me, it was another scumbag slumlord who had just lost a lawsuit with weasel #1. And of course, this is all very embarassing to the city -- which has been bending over backwards in their usual manner for any rodent with a lot of real estate money.

The upshot being Weasel #1 gets tossed out the country by the feds for his prior problems in the Great White North. And then he gets let back in. About two years ago... heh.

So we're all just making popcorn and waiting to see how this charade plays out. A nice little liberal town. With all the old money based in things like Chinese slave labor in coal mines (they even have a shrine whitewashing that sordid tale in the local museum), bootlegging, drugs, etc. A prime source of real estate capital. A nice liberal town.

As of course anyone who reads the bible will know.

Well now you know why I never ran for vice president. So now I'm getting schooled by someone who misspelled Quayle and Bandido. I might have to reread the "depressing songs" thread to cheer myself up.

By the way, there's a RM video of the Frito Bandito here...

And all this time, I thought you were a reputable landowner...

He, he, he.

Both the local independent newspapers are tweaked because the bust happened at the exact moment they went to press. Coincidence or.... [eerie organ music swells in the background]

This means they get a week to burrow into the details (it's still two hours before the feds have their press conference in Seattle).

Schadenfreude is the word of the day here.

SD: There are no reputable landowners. Not here at any rate.

Inside the bowling alley yesterday (I rolled 120, not great but OK) everybody was watching the TV which was covering the sidewalk outside. Very Situationist.

A little more background on our fair city. The licensing fees for this used to cover the entire police budget.

warbaby: There are militia & survivalist types around there also, right?

Yep, the Washington State Militia bust is having it's 9th aniversary this summer.

We also have a really fiesty County Library.

We also had county secessionists and the very first internet fraud the FTC busted.

It's a quiet, laid-back place.

Last night, I went to the Human Rights Awards where the librarians (among others not in national news) were honored. My sister used to raise goats with the woman who initially pitched the Fat Boys Institute out on their ear.

I worked in Bellingham for about six months about four years ago. And, on the surface at least, Bellingham is a quiet, laid-back place.

It's a pretty town (most of the "pretty" is on the west side of I5) with a very cute olde-time downtown area. I'd recommend to anyone visiting western Washington to visit, at least for a drive through.

That librarian is awesome! WA sounds like a great state. I had a cousin at Ft. Lewis who was forever kayaking, hiking, bicycling, etc. whenever he had leave.
