(I remember the Happy Mondays playing at a party a long time ago. A CD that is. I drank a lot of Midori that night. I fell in a swimming pool. Consequently, I threw up in my parents hallway. I haven't touched Midori since. Good times, fellas, good time.)
(Also, I once had an epiphany dancing to New Order's "Temptation" in a dodgy pool hall / nightclub in Adelaide. Alas, the object of my desire was never to be seen again.)
Thanks for the reminder. I watched up until Ian Curtis died, then I wandered in and out (I love the Happy Mondays's music, but that part of the film is too depressing).
Anyone who hasn't seen this shoud rent the DVD today, and don't neglect the extras. The video commentary is bizarre, but worth it just to hear the New Order guys talking about Curtis and the actor who plays him.
The performances are uniformly excellent (I'd forgotten that Andy Serkis was in it).
