Who is Little Barrie imitating? I like their sound and I'm interested in exploring whoever inspired them.
All I'm coming up with is Led Zeppelin. But I'm no jonmc.

thats A hard one. It's a little "jam-bandy." I want to say Allman Bros, but its not really much like them. Sorta kinda like Grateful Dead at certain times, too. Kind of a semi-funky white 70s jamband, but I cant name an artist off the top of my head.

Huh. So they're kind of distilling a lot of different influences into a unique sound, eh. Cool.

Sounds like something I would absolutely despise.

ha. I think I just couldnt put my finger on a band name.

It didn't sound much like Led Zep to me. Which is ironic, because if you put every rock album since 1970 in a pile and pulled one out, the odds are about 8 or 9 out of 10 that it would be heavily derivative of Zeppelin.

matildaben: You hate 70's jam bands? Or you hate bands that distill a bunch of different influences? Or you listened to it and hate the sound?

I hate white jam bands with a passion exceeding even the passion with which I hate the Grateful Dead.

I think I did download one of their tracks off a blog a couple months back and thought it was shite.
